Four people were taken into custody Wednesday following a Vernon RCMP investigation into drug activity.
Officers followed up on information about suspected activity in the Commonage Road area and, at around 6 p.m., arrested two 22-year-old men for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
“Both men were held in custody while our officers continued their investigation around the drugs,” said Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.
A search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence off Commonage Road around 9 p.m. A 23-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were found in the home and taken into custody.
RCMP located a quantity of drugs, cash and several knives.
All four people arrested were expected to go before a justice of the peace Thursday night.
