Cariboo Regional District directors elected new chair

Directors reviewed proposed provisional Business Plans and Budget, sealed union agreement

Following are Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District and Cariboo Regional District meeting highlights from Nov. 17.

The board also re-elected Area C director John Massier as vice-chair for 2018. He has served as vice-chair since 2016.

First Nations Health Authority presentation

Mary McCullough, Regional Manager-Interior, and Community Engagement Co-ordinators Londea Riffel (Secwepemc), Connie Jasper (Tsilhqot’in), and Jamie Tanis (Dakelh Dene) from the First Nations Health Authority presented an overview of the health authority to the Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District (CCRHD) board.

They also discussed potential opportunities for collaboration in the future.

2018 provisional budgets reviewed

During the CRD’s Finance Budget meeting on Nov. 16, the board of directors reviewed the proposed provisional Business Plans and Budget, which will be revised and brought back to the Dec. 15 board meeting for adoption.

The final adoption of the budget will take place at the end of March 2018, once the public has a chance to review it. These documents will be posted on the CRD’s website at cariboord.ca after the Dec. 15 board meeting.
