As part of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta four-laning program, the provincial government has issued a news release stating the results of a public consultation on the Highway 1 RW Bruhn Bridge Replacement Project are now available online at: www.gov.bc.ca/bchwy1-projects.

The consultation conducted by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure gathered feedback from Nov. 15, 2016 – Jan. 15, 2017, as part of the planning underway to increase safety, improve access to local roads, and replace the RW Bruhn Bridge in Sicamous.

Along with technical, environmental and financial information, the ministry says it will consider all of this public feedback, as well as input from the municipality and First Nations, as the ministry moves forward to select an option, obtain funding and proceed to detailed design.

The ministry says consultation will be ongoing throughout the project, and comments or concerns may be sent at any time by emailing: rwbruhnbridge@gov.bc.ca.
