If you noticed blue- and yellow-painted bear paw prints in the Bowser area recently, you can thank the paint cans in Ian McJannet’s garage.

Be on the lookout for a blue and yellow bear in Bowser

Colourful paw prints left behind after bear spills paint in Bowser garage

Ian McJannet reports a bear encounter of the more comical kind.

“Sometime overnight a big black bear came into our garage looking for the rubbish bin, he managed to find it,” McJannet said of the common experience in Bowser.

“On this occasion he also pulled down a big cloth covering our workbench and with it a tin of blue paint and a tin of yellow paint. Needless to say the paint went everywhere and it took my sister and I nearly all day to clean up.”

But they had noticed evidence of the bear before they even got in the garage. “The paint must have covered the bear because we have large bear prints in blue and yellow all over the drive and across the lawn.”

“I thought it might be amusing for you to let your readers know that there is a blue and yellow painted bear wandering around the Bowser area.”
