A Comox Valley woman was inspired by a heartfelt story and decided to offer assistance to a family she has never met.
“After reading the story I just started crying my eyes out. As a promoter I knew I could do something about it,” says Jenny Cowie.
She feels the Comox Valley can contribute to the Baby Iver Fund. She is hosting a by-donation-only concert this Friday at the Mex Pub on Ryan Road. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the show starts at 9:30 p.m.
DJs Agent Hooper, JPrime, MrMacHimself and a special guest from out of town are donating their time to put on the show.
“We want everybody,” Cowie says. “Even if you donate a toonie we would like you there.”
