Aldergrove’s Wall-o-Lanterns a Huge Success

700 jack o’lanterns created for the annual Wall-o-Lanterns festival on Saturday at Aldergrove’s Philip Jackman Park.

Three year old Peyton Yarych helped create some of the 700 jack o’lanterns for the annual Wall-o-Lanterns festival on Saturday at Aldergrove’s Philip Jackman Park.

The fundraiser for Langley School District Foundation, hosted by Aldergrove Business Association, featured family entertainers such as Charlotte Diamond and culminated with the grand lighting ceremony that night.

The free family-oriented event drew a crowd estimated at 600, and the only downside was some random vandalism the night before when several pumpkins and displays were smashed by a man who was captured by RCMP and taken into custody.

The display continues nightly through Halloween.
