The Salmon Arm Golf Club is requesting funding from the City of Salmon Arm and the CSRD to remove trees at the golf course that are encroaching on the Salmon Arm Airport.

The trees are in the way of the flight path, the flight path is both used for commercially, and privately for people who have planes.

“These trees will have to be removed, the golf course is obviously not in a financial position to do it, so I think a motion will have to come forward at the airport advisory committee and make a special request from the CSRD and the City of Salmon Arm to help with the removal,” said Coun. Chad Eliason.
