WALK FOR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT: Craig Bay residents held their second annual Steppin’ Out fundraiser on Oct. 4 for the benefit of Oceanside Health Centre. Nearly 200 participants, including MLA Michelle Stilwell and Mayor Chris Burger, donned their running shoes to run, walk, wheel or bike two or five-km routes. The group had hoped to raise $5,300 in order to purchase a Solis Ambulatory Infusion Pump for Oceanside Health Centre, but it surpassed its goal by reaching almost $6,000 thanks to participants “registering by donation” and a $500 gift from Proline, the community’s strata managers. Additionally, Thrifty Foods donated refreshments to the cause.
