With our Alexandra Neighbourhood House Children’s Centre opening shortly at Kensington Prairie, we have been touched by what sometimes feels like an insurmountable need for affordable, quality childcare.
Our KP program is based on the Reggio Emilia approach, and the infant/toddler spaces are already filled, but we still have space available for three- to five-year-olds and school-age children (before/after school). If you are interested in our Children’s Centre at Kensington Prairie please inquire now, as we anticipate that the available spaces will also fill through early spring.
During spring break we will also be offering a day program, both as an introduction to the Reggio Emilia approach, and as an opportunity to support the increased care needs during school breaks. For more information contact our Kensington Prairie childcare co-ordinator at email@example.com.
n Both the Steve Nash Foundation and the Hamber Foundation awarded grants for educational materials and resources for our children’s centre at Kensington Prairie and an additional $2,000 was donated by individuals.
If you are interested in contributing to the needs of children and families in our community through support of Alexandra Neighbourhood House Children’s Centre at Kensington Prairie, don’t hesitate to contact us at 604-535-0015.
