1. “In a steampunk meets super villain world, the performers tread lightly between fantasy and a possible reality as they journey through glimpses of one’s psyche.” So begins the Diskordanse company’s description of its “Coalesce” dance show, brought to Surrey Arts Centre for an 8 p.m. performance Saturday (June 4). South Surrey-based choreographer Nela Hallwas brings a cinematic, “Matrix”-like vibe to the production, which was staged last month at Vancouver’s Orpheum Annex. Tickets for the 50-minute show are $35 via 604-501-5566 or

Whatever the location, lots of fresh veggies, baked goods and other things will be sold from noon to 5 p.m. every Wednesday this summer. For details, visit, call 778-228-FARM (3276) or email
