Dec. 3 — Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra Winter Concert at the Cleland Theatre at 2 p.m. Tickets at 888-974-9170 or in person at the Shatford Centre at 760 Main St.
Dec. 7 — Two shows in one at the Dream Café. Michael Bernard Fitzgerald is a touring troubadour and The Middle Coast is self-described as ’70s-style yacht rock. Tickets are $28 for premium seats and $18 for the wings.
Dec. 8, 9 — Musaic presents A Christmas Collage a 7:30 p.m. in St. Saviour’s Anglican Church in Penticton, and at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 9 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Summerland. Dec. 9 — 13th annual free Christmas concert, 7 p.m. at Adventist Church featuring guest artists Amigo Diego, Everything New, Caroline Mackay, Donna Mbamy-Conci and other talented performers. Concert is a fundraiser for the food bank and organizers are asking guests to bring a non-perishable food item or cash donation.
Dec. 13 — Playing guitar, piano, banjo while singing and keeping time through an amplified stompbox, Ari Neufeld performs at the Dream Café. Tickets are $27 for premium seats and $17 for the wings.
Dec. 15 — Songs for Yuletide: Christmas with Tracy Fehr and the Seraphim Vocal Ensemble, starting at 7:30 p.m. in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Penticton. Medieval music to traditional Christmas favourites. Proceeds to South Okanagan Women in Need Society (tickets at the Book Shop (242 Main St. or at the door). $25 adults/ $20 seniors/youth.
Dec. 22 — Company B Jazz Band is bringing the band’s Christmas cheer to the Dream Café. Premium tickets are $40 and wing seats are $30.
Dec. 23 — The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra Ringing in the Season at the Cleland Community Theatre at 2 p.m. Featured guests are the Okanagan Handbell Chorus with Anthony Lay on classical harmonica. Tickets are available by calling 888-974-9170 or visit www.okanagansymphony.com.
Until Dec. 2 — Many Hats Theatre Co. brings A Nice Family Gathering to the stage. A story about a man who loved his wife so much, he almost told her. Showtimes are Thursday to Saturday (doors 7:30 p.m.) at 8 p.m. Sunday matinees (doors open at 1:30 p.m.) at 2 p.m.Tickets are $25 for adults and $22 for students and seniors. Dec. 2 — The Downtown Penticton Association Santa Claus Parade starting on Main Street from White Avenue at 4 p.m. Parade ends at the Penticton Lakeside resort where Santa will be from 5 to 6 p.m. to meet the children.
Dec. 6 until Dec. 11 — A Christmas Carol runs Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. and other nights at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Dragon’s Den or at the door. Children under 12 are free.
