Hallmark movie is slated to premiere this fall

Harrison Hot Springs was abuzz with activity as “Neverbrides” was being filmed for The Hallmark Channel on Monday afternoon. Despite being shot in the dog days of summer, this feel-good romance is set in the fall as part of Hallmark’s fall lineup.

On Monday, Ivan Hayden, one of the film’s executive producers, said the crew was in its second week of filming around Harrison. Hayden has filmed and stayed in the area before.

“I would come back here in a heartbeat,” Hayden said. “Everybody has been so fantastic. The community has been fantastic and obviously the sights are breathtaking. They’re good, Canadian people. We’re all Canadians working. We know it’s an inconvenience to be filming, taking up parking spots and things, but we really appreciate it.”

Though production is by necessity slower due to coronavirus restrictions, it seems to be smooth sailing so far.

“For us the only real big difference between now and before is there’s a lot more COVID safety measures we have to take into account and it makes it a little bit hotter,” Hayden said. On that particular day of filming, temperatures flirted with the mid 30s. “It takes longer to check in; it does slow you down a bit. We’ve all got to get back to work, and it’s great to see so many people here.”

“Neverbrides” premieres on the Hallmark Channel on October 10.
