Music meets science in Langley

A Vancouver instrumentalist and inventor will be entertaining Langley kids with his "mad" scientist skills at local libraries this month.

Andy the Musical Scientist is teaming up with Fraser Valley Regional Library to entertain kids this summer – including numerous stops in Langley.

Andrew Kim is a Vancouver-based instrumentalist who has travelled the world amusing people with instruments he’s created from recycled items.

He describes his show as a meeting place for the worlds of music and science – using homemade, invented instruments, world music, and humour.

He’ll be performing at the Fort Langley Library Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m., at Murrayville Library on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m., and the same day at Brookswood, at 2 p.m., at Walnut Grove Library on Saturday, Aug. 20, at 1:30 p.m., at Langley City Library on Monday, Aug. 22 at 2 p.m., at Muriel Arnason Library on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
