Nanaimo’s Schmooze Productions will be presenting Monty Python’s Spamalot for nine days in November and three days in December.

Spamalot is being described as an outrageous musical comedy lovingly ripped off from the cult classic motion picture Monty Python and the Holy Grail, surrounding King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table heading out on their quest for the Holy Grail.

Atkinson will play King Arthur.

Spamalot was winner of three 2005 Tony Awards including Best Musical. It features a chorus line of dancing divas and knee-slapping knights, flatulent Frenchmen, flying cows, killer rabbits, a legless knight, and several show-stopping musical numbers.

The show plays November 14-16, 21-23, 28-30 and December 5-7. Tickets are $25 available online at www.schmoozeproductions.com at Lux-An Accessory Boutique at 212 Commercial street in Nanaimo and by calling 250-739-0721 between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m.

Stay tuned for a feature article on the production in Nanaimo, coming up in The NEWS.

Contest: Win two tickets to see Spamalot. Email reporter@pqbnews.com with “Send me to Spamalot” in the subject line, include your name and phone number. Winner will be notified November 12. Good Luck!
