Telus has partnered with the B.C.-based non-profit organization, Public Records, to provide funding to Salmon Arm musicians and filmmakers.
Together they have launched, The Winter 2014 Music Video Fund.
This is an initiative that:
• Helps musicians and filmmakers create their art by providing the funding necessary to produce it. Grant recipients receive up to $7,500 to produce a music video to which they keep full rights.
• Presents artists with a platform to showcase their art. Videos produced as part of the Winter 2014 Music Fund are released via TELUS Optik Local On Demand and online.
• Provides artists with the exposure necessary to launch their career.
• Educates artists on the fundamentals of the industry.
