The Kumugwe Cultural Society is hosting “Sharing Our Spirit” – an evening with Grammy Award-winning singer Joanne Shenandoah.
Joanne will be singing and speaking to the audience.
This free public event will take place at the Kumugwe Ceremonial Big House, on Tuesday, April 16 from 6:30-8 p.m.
The Kumugwe Dancers will open the evening with a performance.
The evening will highlight the teachings and cultural expressions of Shenandoah’s people, the Haudenosaunee- Iroquoian.
Shenandoah has been described as a peace advocate, a humanitarian, who works towards universal peace and understanding amongst all peoples.
The I-Hos Gallery will be hosting a meet and greet with the Grammy Award-winning singer from 5- 6 p.m., where her recordings will also be available for purchase.
