Gallery 7 Theatre hosts the second workshop in its Actors’ Bootcamp Workshop Series on Tuesday, Nov. 24.

Character and Scene Work takes place on three consecutive Tuesdays from 7 to 10 p.m. at the theatre’s rehearsal hall,  #100 – 34595 Third Ave.

Participants will focus on how to develop a strong character: making choices, asking the right questions and finding the answers, text analysis, exercises and techniques to discover and explore character, and projecting character in small and large performance venues.

Although the workshop will use and build on skills explored in the Voice and Movement workshop held earlier in the season, attendance to the previous workshop is not a prerequisite.

Leading the workshop will be Erla Faye Forsyth, a graduate of Studio 58 in Vancouver, who has performed in numerous productions over the years at Pacific Theatre in Vancouver, including The Foreigner and How to Write a New Book for the Bible, for which she received Jessie Richardson awards.

Other credits include It’s a Wonderful Life for the Arts Club and Since You Left Us for Presentation House Theatre.
