Abbotsford siblings Kai and Lia Gronberg are among the speakers at a Telus World of Science event on Oct. 20.

The musical duo, who perform as the Fiddlin’ Frenzy, will discuss the benefits of music and how it can inspire kids both locally and globally, as part of the TedxKids@BC event at Science World in Vancouver.

They will also talk about overcoming fear on stage and how one should never give up on his or her dreams and passions.

The fiddling and clogging pair performed at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, and were featured in one of the many Olympic commercials.

Kai and Lia started performing at the age of five and have composed since they were seven.

They play Celtic, Metis, French Canadian and traditional music.

They have won first place several times at the provincial and Grand North America fiddle contests and other events.

Kai and Lia have also released two CDs. Their second, which was recorded with Canadian master Calvin Vollrath, contains nine of their own compositions.
