The Chilliwack Metropolitan Orchestra is heading to the big screen for its final performance of the season.
Under the direction of maestro Gregory Johnson, the CMO will present concert A Galaxy Far, Far Away on Sunday, May 26.
The performance will feature some of the most memorable orchestral film scores of the 20th and early 21st centuries, written by the emperor of film score composers, John Williams.
As one might imagine, the program will devote ample time to outer space vehicles such as Star Wars and E.T. But planet Earth will also be represented by the fantasy of Jurassic Park and The Mission, as well as the pathos of Schindler’s List.
In short, the CMO plans to send its audience away with an unforgettable musical experience.
A Galaxy Far, Far Away is Sunday, May 26 at 3 p.m at G.W. Graham Theatre. Tickets are $25/general and $20/seniors and youth, and can be purchased at The Book Man, Long and McQuade Chilliwack (cash only), King’s Music in Sardis, or online at www.eventbrite.com.
