Celtic Illusion, a show featuring contemporary Irish Dance and grand illusions, is coming to Penticton in 2020.

Performances of the all-ages show have been selling out in Australia in 2018 and 2019, and now it will be debuting in Canada with a stop at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) on Feb. 29, 2020. Celtic Illusion originally premiered in 2011 and has sold out shows across New Zealand and Australia.

“With incredible new choreography, spell-binding magic, heart racing music and a sensory experience like no other, audiences will be kept on the edge of their seats and left wanting more,” states the event release. “Showcasing a stellar cast of champion and internationally-acclaimed dancers, including performers from both Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, Celtic Illusion offers some of the fastest taps in the world as the dancers’ thunderous rhythm fills the stage in perfect unison.”

The release states that the show is led by Anthony Street, the first Australian to perform leading roles in Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, including the role Flatley originally performed himself.

Tickets for the Penticton show will go on sale on Oct. 18 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at www.valleyfirsttix.com or at the SOEC Valley First box office.
