'Bubble Guppies' swim for Surrey on national tour

SURREY — Bell Performing Arts Centre is a stop on a national tour for "Bubble Guppies Live! Ready to Rock," a new show from Nickelodeon and Koba Entertainment.

Characters from the Emmy Award-winning TV series will appear on stage in "a swimmingly interactive adventure, featuring energetic singing and dancing, comedy and audience participation."

The 47-date tour of Canada includes shows at Surrey’s Bell on Sept. 26. Tickets are on sale at BubbleGuppiesOnTour.com.

The live show is crafted by Bubble Guppies creators Jonny Belt and Robert Skull in collaboration with Koba’s artistic director Patti Caplette, a Surrey-raised choreographer, writer and director.

Set in an underwater world, the Bubble Guppies perform original pop, rock, country and hip-hop music.

“Young audiences are attracted to the Bubble Guppies’ unique world of learning and hilarity that we are recreating with exceptional detail live on stage," Caplette said.

"What’s great about Nickelodeon’s live theatrical shows like Bubble Guppies Live! is they educate and entertain but also introduce youngsters to the thrills of live theatre.”
