After seven years of success in the Comox Valley and across Canada, a local website development studio is looking to the future with a new name.
HPX Media Inc., formally Halftone Pixel Website Design & Consulting, is a growing creative firm that began its story here in the Comox Valley in 2011. Named “Best Website Designer” in the Comox Valley Record‘s Readers Choice awards for four years running, the local business has made a big change for 2019.
“We felt that the time to change the name was now,” says HPX owner, Kris Trudeau. “We have some new service offerings that will be added or enhanced in 2019 and we worried that we may be pigeon-holing ourselves with our old name.”
Graphic and print design has been a staple of Trudeau’s business since it started in 2011, albeit perpetually overshadowed by the website development component. Trudeau plans to bring those original services to the forefront to share the spotlight with some of the newer service offerings, which include copywriting and website monitoring. With plans to grow the website and monitoring aspect of the business outside of Canada, “it made sense to change the name now,” says Trudeau.
HPX Media Inc., a homage to the previous name Halftone Pixel, Trudeau felt, was a great way to carry forward the business’s history with a new name that is succinct and offers a flexibility that the original name did not.
Trudeau assures that, despite the name change, you can expect the same calibre of customer service and creativity that HPX’s clients have enjoyed in the past and looks forward to applying the same holistic approach that has brought her client’s success.
