The B.C. Bee Breeder’s Association is holding a workshop in Abbotsford designed for intermediate level beekeepers.
The workshop will be held at Campbell’s Gold Honey Farm & Meadery on Lefeuvre Road.
The workshop is designed for beekeepers with some experience, who are planning to breed their own stock. The workshop will introduce methods and techniques for assessing and comparing colonies for choosing breeders.
Participants must bring a clean bee suit and protective gear, and food for lunch.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop costs $35 and participants must register by April 20.
