The East Kootenay Foundation for Health had their second Annual Hole In One Tournament and it was a great success raising $14,000 to go towards a new portable X-Ray Machine for the Golden and District Hospital. The new X-Ray machine has a price tag of approximately $95,000.

While researching information for a local family, I was looking in the Golden Star from 1963 and was amazed at how many things happened in Golden in that year.
