Stinson in second stint with Braves

Mark Stinson has returned to the Vancouver Island Junior hockey league, this time where he first started as a Saanich Brave.
As a 16-year-old Stinson had a solid season for the Braves, scoring 38 points (14 goals, 24 assits) in 41 games. Then as a 17-year-old Stinson left the VIJHL and captained the Juan de Fuca AAA Grizzlies to a provincial championship.
When he returned to the VIJHL last year Stinson was part of the Victoria Cougars championship team, chipping in 17 points in 14 playoff games.
Sintson began this year with the Westshore Stingers. An injury kept him to just seven games so far.
Stinson and the Braves are in action Friday night when they host the Kerry Park Islanders, 6:30 p.m. at George Pearkes Arena.
