Croquet league comes to downtown lawn bowling club
Organized croquet is here, and it’s quick.
Playing out of the high class quarters and consistent surface of the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling Club, a casual croquet league will run for the remainder of the summer.
A free, fun intro to the league runs today (July 17), 6:30 p.m. at the CPBLC.
The league will run every Friday night through Sept. 11.
A schedule of 20 minute games is designed to increase the social atmosphere of the event.
All that’s required is white shorts or pants, a white shirt and flat heeled shoes.
Thirty dollars will cover membership at CPLBC and grant croquet playing priveleges for the rest of the season. The series will culminate with the Victoria Croquet open championship tournament, Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m. 4 p.m.
