An autopsy has revealed that a deceased woman found on the beach below Dallas Road died from drowning.

“No foul play is suspected,” said Victoria police Sgt. Grant Hamilton.

“Our detectives are interviewing friends and associates in attempts to piece together the timing of the victim’s activities.”

The woman was in her early 30s but police are not releasing her name.

A couple found the body on Oct. 1 while walking along Finlayson Point.
