Police probe Halloween stabbing
Zombie Mark Williamson is attacked by fellow zombies (from left) thirteen-year-old Mark Severinsen, his brother James and Barabara Wilkinson Saturday at Centennial Square. The group joined the hundreds of other undead who made their way on the downtown streets from Centennial Square to the Legislature and finally to the Comic Book convention at Harbour Towers Hotel.

A stabbing in Esquimalt was the most serious call Victoria police dealt with on Halloween night.
Police say a man was stabbed several times by a male family member in a domestic dispute in the 800 block of Esquimalt Road at 7 p.m. on Saturday. A suspect was taken into custody and the victim is recovering.
Downtown, the streets were buzzing with partygoers dressed in costume. Six busloads of partiers were dropped off in the nightclub district.
The crowds had clubs bursting at the seams, and two establishments are facing liquor suspensions as a result, said Sgt. Grant Hamilton, a police spokesperson.
Other calls included liquor offences and various calls about parties.
“It was very busy, but not as busy as last year,” Hamilton said.
