A ship containing undocumented migrant men pulled into Ogden Point marina this weekend.

The ship Ocean Lady was escorted into a berth by RCMP vessels and HMCS Regina of the Canadian Navy on Saturday, Oct. 17. From there, the Canada Border Services Agency took control of the ship and its passengers.

CBSA has not yet confirmed the men's origin, how many were aboard, or their ages.

The group were taken to the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre. Today (Oct. 18), the men were transported to a correctional facility on the Lower Mainland.

There, "the CBSA will continue to examine their admissibility to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act," said a statement from the agency.

Updates to come.
