Cook Street fire probed

A female tenant and two cats escaped a fire at 2537 Cook St. on Sunday.

Fire crews responded at about 10 a.m. and found heavy smoke and three-metre flames blowing out a basement window and door and up the side of the building.

The fire caused about $150,000 damage, but no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
