Mother-son duo wanted in home invasion

A mother and son are suspected in a weekend home invasion apparently prompted by a drug dispute.

Victoria police say Jamie Whitney, 26, and his mother Lorraine Anderson, 44, are wanted for extortion and unlawful confinement after holding a man in a room at a budget hote Oct. 4.

The victim wasn't seriously and no weapons were used, but there was some physical violence and threats were made, said Sgt. Grant Hamilton.

He said the victim knows Whitney and Anderson and police believe the alleged assault was drug-related.

Whitney is six feet tall, around 175 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes. Anderson is 5'2" also with brown hair and brown eyes.
