The 2009 Sooke Fine Arts Show is hosting three events in conjunction with Victoria College of Art & Design.
Artz4Boomers is an art appreciation short-course and pre-show tour. It goes Friday, July 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. Artz4Youth is planned for teens by teens, with musical performances and art exhibited by youth on Friday, July 31 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Admission is $5. The third event is a sculpture workshop with David Hunwick on Sunday, Aug. 2, and is limited to 10 people.
All three events, and the show itself (July 25-Aug. 3), take place at the SEPARC Leisure Complex in Sooke. To register for the sculpture or Boomers course, call 250-642-7256. More details on the show can be found at www.sooke finearts.com.
