They're not quite ready for kindergarden, but three- and four-year-old children are ready to learn.
Together with the the Greater Victoria school district, the Township of Esquimalt is offering Ready, Set, Learn, a free interactive program for children.
The program also offers parents the opportunity to connect with teachers and principals to get a better idea of what children can expect when they start school.
Representatives from the Greater Victoria Public Library, Vancouver Island Health Authority and other resource organizations will be available to answer questions.
Refreshments, play stations and face painting will be available.
The free event happens Jan. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Esquimalt Recreation Centre, 527 Fraser St.
