Canada will remember past and present veterans of war, and those who have made our country what it is today, on Nov. 11. Here’s what’s happening in your community.

Victoria

A public Remembrance Day ceremony will start at 11 a.m. by the cenotaph on the legislative grounds. Veterans, the Naden band and other military units will march down Belleville Street to the Wax Museum, then back to the cenotaph for the ceremony.

Esquimalt

Veterans will march out of the legion parking lot (622 Admirals Rd.) before making their way to the Memorial Park cenotaph for an 11 a.m. ceremony.

Then head to the legion for music, food and drink until 4 p.m.
