Classic boat festival sets sail on Labour Day weekend

Up to 100 classic sail and power boats will file into the Inner Harbour for the 32nd annual Victoria Real Estate Board and Black Press Classic Boat Festival on Labour Day weekend.
The festival begins at noon on Sept. 4 with the arrival of honorary Commodore Gordon Nickells aboard HMCS Oriole.
Boaters will come from all over the Pacific coast.
A classic rowing regatta will happen on Sept. 5 at 10 a.m. where boats will launch near the Gorge Narrows and finish at the Undersea Gardens.
A steam boat parade will happen at 2 p.m. in the Inner Harbour and all vessels will leave at 10:30 a.m. for their Sunday sailpast on Sept. 6.
