Conservatory hosting open house

The Victoria Conservatory of Music is hosting an open house for anyone who has music lesson on their back-to-school list.
New or continuing students can meet teachers, take mini-lessons or try out new instruments.
There will be free live entertainment, tours, an instrument petting zoo, face painting and a barbecue by donation.
The open house runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 12 at 900 Johnson St.
