DeAndre is attending the Army Cadet Leader course at the Whitehorse Cadet Summer Training Centre. During his six weeks in Whitehorse, DeAndre will participate in activities such as horseback riding, map and compass, abseiling down a 10-metre tower, mountain biking, and a five-day field training exercise. Reynolds’ home unit is 3005 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, in Victoria.
