Last Friday night’s Log date versus Cowichan was washed out for Sooke’s seventh place Celtic. The previous week the team was defeated 11-0 by Bays U. at Finlayson Park. Celtic plays the next three on the road – Friday, Nov. 6 vs Gorge, 7 p.m. at Hampton Park, then the next two weekends at Comox and Nanaimo, respectively.

Celtic’s next home game is set for Friday, Nov. 27, 7 p.m.versus Gordon Head Blue.

The div 4-A Sooke Loggers fell 2-0 on the road this past weekend to Cadboro Bay. The week previous it was a 1-0 setback at home to Prospect Lake.

This Saturday the Loggers are set to host Bays U. at 2:15 p.m.

The fifth place div 4B Sooke FC recorded a 1-0 home win over Gordon Head Partisan this past Sunday. Chad Skeans got the goal.

The previous week it had been a 1-0 win in Victoria vs FC Sagres.

This coming Sunday they hit the road for a game in Nanaimo, then host Prospect Lake on Nov. 15 at 2:15 p.m.

The as-yet winless Masters A Sooke United tied Castaways Juniors 1-1 at Glasgow Park in Victoria. Their previous game set for Oct. 24 vs JdF had been cancelled.

Expected this Saturday, weather permitting, is a home date versus Gorge FC, 4 p.m. at The Log.

The sixth-place U21 Sooke Nation had their Oct. 31 game vs Gordon Head Gold cancelled. The previous week they were edged 1-0 at home by Nanaimo. They’re set to play a home game, 7:15 this Thursday night against Bays U.

The div 1, fourth place Sooke Pumas played Cowichan in Duncan this past Sunday and won 6-0. Brogan Boyer scored fourgoals – she’s got a talent for finding the perfect spot to put the ball, even at close quarters with the keeper.

The other two goals were scored by Sheri Onushko and Angela Petrie. Next game is Friday night at Layritz Park, 5 p.m. against Prospect Lake.

The div 3A sixth-place Sooke Hurricanes had their Halloween game vs Cordova Bay rained out. Their game the previous week was a 2-1 win over Vic West. The next scheduled game for the ‘canes is a home match this Saturday night at 6 against Nanaimo.

The div 3B Sooke team continued the quest for its first win on Sunday at Lochside – a 4-1 setback in a game against Cordova Bay Riptides. Next up is a trip to Windsor Park this coming Sunday for a match with Bays U.
