A public hearing on the proposed Mariner's Village residential/commercial development in Sooke was held with a turnout of about 40 citizens on June 29.
Points made were predominantly positive in regard to the project which involves about 12 hectares on the south side of Sooke Road, between Murray and Church Roads.
Council wrapped up the session with a unanimous decision to give third reading to the rezoning component of the project.
