Christmas tradition continues

The sixth annual Sooke Traditional Christmas Home Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibition has become one of the community’s most anticipated holiday traditions.
Laura Bryant invites local artists to show their creations, allowing visitors to drop by, browse and even enjoy seasonal refreshment as they walk around and see how the various works would look on display in a home.
Bryant’s annual show appeals to many people with its combination of beautiful sights, scents, tastes and sounds in the uniquely warm and inviting atmosphere of her home.
“There’s something for everyone from beautiful crafts, art and décor, to jewelry, food and bath goodies for $1 to over $1,000, depending on your taste and budget,” Bryant said.
When visitors arrive, they are treated like guests of a fabulous holiday open house.
Drop in and you will be offered tasty holiday treats and a glass of wine or mulled cider. Enjoy holiday carolers and music as you inspect and select from the artfully arranged décor.
Make your way through the studio, up the decorated staircase and around the home to browse a visual feast of beautiful art, jewelry, basketry, pottery and gifts interspersed with lights, scented candles and decorations.
The Sooke Traditional Christmas Home Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibition runs Dec. 5-7 - Fri. 6 to 10 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sun. 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at 2404 Mountain Heights Road. in Sooke.
