The Annual Sooke Harbour Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet On November 20 was a great success. Winners were: Customer Service Excellence (Business) — Sooke Region Visitor Centre; Customer Service Excellence (Employee) — Lois Cheal, Village Foods; Tourism Recreation/Leisure Excellence — Allan (A.J.) Johnson; Service Industry Excellence — EMCS Culinary Arts Program; Social Responsibility — Phoebe Dunbar; Good Neighbour Award — Matha and Vern Moore; Retailer of the Year — Community One Boards and Apparel (Matt Tyson and Kurtis Gramchuck); Youth Achievement Award — Sooke Youth Council; Citizen of the Year Award — Bill Rumsby.
