Sunshine, great food, fabulous prizes and fun have all been ordered for the Lady Minto Hospital Foundation’s 18th annual golf tournament on Saturday, July 11.
There will also be chances to bid on silent and live auction items, a “lucky balloon” lottery will be held and souvenir team photos can be purchased with all proceeds going to the foundation.
Tee-off times for the Texas Scramble are 8 and 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.
For those wanting to improve their score, junior golfers who will hit a long drive on their behalf can be “rented.”
Players can also buy up to four mulligans.
As another bonus, Steve Marleau, Salt Spring Golf & Country Club golf pro, will be giving free tips on the putting green before tee-off times.
After the buffet dinner, the Hewitson Memorial Trophy will be presented in honour of Tash and Glenn Hewitson, in whose memory the tournament has been held for many years.
Mouat’s Trading Company has once again stepped forward as the tournament’s corporate sponsor and will be entering a team in the event.
Salt Spring’s business community, which has always been generous in its support, has ensured there will be prizes galore.
No golfing experience is required to participate.
All funds raised will be used to purchase new equipment for the hospital.
A registration form can be downloaded at www.ladymintofoundation.com or call the foundation office at 250-538-4845.
