Re: “Local dentist pleads guilty to tax evasion,” July 15 Driftwood — the following letter was written in June 2009, before its writer left the employ of Dr. Bob McGinn, and filed with this paper for publication.
I have worked with Dr. Robert McGinn for 13.5 years.
I have to say that it was the most rewarding and fulfilling job I think I will ever have as a dental assistant. I do not think any other dentist will be as honest or as giving as Bob has been to myself and to his clients. There is simply no comparison.
I stand by his work 100 per cent and feel my family and friends are receiving the best dental care there is to offer. I have watched him work for many years and know his efforts to achieve perfection were never compromised in any way.
I love his family as much as I do him. I look up to him in so many ways I cannot even count them.
I was proud to work for the best dentist on the island for so many years. My only reason for leaving was personal. I would have continued to work with Bob until he retired had my life taken a different path.
