A two-organization fundraiser is promising a silent auction extravaganza and a fun evening of music, food and socializing.

On Sunday, Nov. 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the Harbour House Hotel, the Institute for Sustainability Education and Action, and the Salt Spring Organization for Life Improvement and Development will host the auction of more than 80 items from Salt Spring and beyond, a veggie appetizer feast provided by the hotel’s chef, a cash bar, music by Stephanie Rhodes and friends, plus presentations by SOLID and I-SEA on their exciting projects.

A sneak peek of some items donated so far reveals a kayaking trip for two, Salt Spring Air round-trip tickets, an eco-activist survival pack, weaving by Terri Bibbi, Ganges Village Flooring carpet, baskets by Heather Martin-McNab, Jana’s pies, CocoLoco linens, a Earth Ball, Clinique make-up pack, gift baskets from Gecko Green Living, Mouat’s and Pharmasave.

I-SEA is now a charitable organization and can provide tax receipts for all cash donations.

Tickets cost $10 in advance (available from I-SEA at 250-537-4400) or $12 at the door.
