Through five stages, Hesjedal still 21st in Tour de France

Highlands native Ryder Hesjedal held steady on Wednesday's stage five in the Tour de France.

Finishing with the peleton at seven seconds back of Stage 5 winner Thomas Voeckler, Hesejedal retained his spot at 21st overall, one minute, 46 back of leaders (tied) Lance Armstrong and Fabian Cancellara.

Wednesday's leg was a return to long distance racing. Cyclists traveled 196.5 km south from Le Cap D'Agde to Perpignan. They'll continue south on Thursday, travelling 181 km to Barcelona.
