Thieves target washed up sailboat
A sailboat that has been beached on the rocks near Gyro Beach since early November. Thieves stole electronics from a 28-foot Catalina sailboat that washed up after heavy winds. Anyone with information about the boat’s owners is asked to call police at 250 475-4321.

A boat that washed ashore during heavy winds earlier this month at Gyro Park has been broken into and had several electronic devices removed.
The boat, a 28-foot blue and white Catalina sailboat, was moored offshore before the storm hit.
The break-in was discovered Nov. 15 by Coast Guard officers who found the cabin door was forced open.
The sailboat had been ashore since Nov. 9.
