Thieves didn't take the long weekend off, with six cars broken into and another one stolen at Saanich parks.

Four of the vehicle break-ins happened Friday at Beaver Lake. Side windows were either pried open or smashed, before purses, wallets, cell phones and a laptop computer were taken.

Two cars were broken into at the top of Mt. Doug Sunday afternoon between 1 and 2:45 p.m. Wallets, purses and electronics were again the target.

Then on Monday, a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire was stolen from the top of Mt. Doug sometime between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m.

Police ask anyone with information about any of the crimes to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-22-8477.
