A cab driver has been arrested after an alleged sexual assault that occurred almost one year ago.
On Nov. 2, 2008, just after midnight, a man and a woman hailed a taxi from the Velox Rugby Club on Gordon Head Road following a Halloween party.
The man was dropped off first, then the cab driver took the 20-year-old woman to an address in the 4200 block of Oakview Place. It’s there that the alleged sexual assault took place.
The woman was then driven to her home by the cab driver.
Saanich Police worked closely with Blue Bird Cabs Ltd., to help officers identify the 26-year-old driver.
