Impaired driver arrested outside Saanich bar

A 22-year-old Saanich man is facing drunk driving charges after he was arrested outside the Red Lion Inn Monday.
Police were flagged down by a man complaining another bar patron had tried to start a fight, who then pointed them in the direction of a pick-up truck. When police found and stopped the truck, the driver seemed intoxicated.
He was arrested and taken back to police headquarters where he gave two breath samples. He's due in court Sept. 23 on impaired driving charges.
