The University of Victoria and the UVic Alumni Association will host the official launch of The Lansdowne Era: Victoria College, 1946-1963 on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Edited by Edward Harvey, the book includes essays from 27 former Victoria College students and instructors.
Contributors include former federal cabinet minister David Anderson, B.C. Chief Justice Lance Finch and former UVic chancellor Norma Mickelson.
Victoria College was the immediate predecessor to the University of Victoria.
From 1946 until UVic was formed in 1963, the college was situated at the Lansdowne Road campus, which is now occupied by Camosun College.
The launch takes place at 4:30 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom, Fairmont Empress Hotel.
